I am a dedicated aspiring data analyst with a passion for unravelling the insights hidden within complex datasets. I also happen to be ACCA part qualified with over 3 years’ experience in accounting roles.
My experiences in accounting and finance have been invaluable, I recognize the skills and experiences I have gained in accounts will continue to serve as a strong foundation for my journey in data analysis and I am truly grateful for the opportunities I've had and the knowledge I've gained.
However, life is a journey of continuous learning and exploration, and I have reached a point where I feel compelled to pivot my career in an exciting new direction. Taking the step to transition from the world of accounting to the dynamic realm of data analysis. I am excited to apply my meticulous attention to detail, financial acumen, and dedication to delivering accurate insights as I navigate this exciting new career.
My Data Analyst journey
From accounting to data analysis.... Why this change, you may wonder? My decision is rooted in a deep fascination with data's power to reveal insights and drive meaningful change. Through data analysis, I have found a field that aligns seamlessly with my analytical mindset, love for problem-solving, and curiosity for uncovering patterns within complex datasets.
With a foundation in mathematics, statistics, and programming, I've engaged in various data analysis training programs. This has equipped me with practical knowledge of industry tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, and PowerBI. I'm eager to enhance my expertise in these platforms while embracing emerging technologies. Recognizing the significance of data integrity, I bring hands-on experience in data cleaning, preprocessing, and fundamental visualization methods.
My Interests
I am a British Fencing Association certified coach with a children's safeguarding certification and disabled fencing referee certification. These qualifications have allowed me to teach fencing, which have aided my development of organisational, leadership and communication skills. I also enjoy a variety of other activities including playing piano, table tennis and hiking.
